As mentioned in my previous post, I said I may adopt a similar sytle to my powered by ADHD lettering peice to my creative design practice final major project. So here is some more I have been working on based on the titles of the mini booklets I am going to create about ADHD.

Umbrella projectHere is the amended ADHD Foundation logo I mentioned in a previous post. This is predominantly for promoting their umbrella project which is an art installation that the charity do every year! The umbrella project is a recurring project which the ADHD foundation do every year. The aim of the project is to raise awareness of developmental disorders such as ADHD,autism and dyslexia. It is also helps to promote the positives that come with having such conditions, whilst also reducing the stigma attached to these neurodevelopment disorders. For more information, or if you would like to get involved, check out their website https://www.adhdfoundation.org.uk. I will mention that I did not design the original logo nor did I design the materials in which the amended logo have or will be used on unless specified otherwise. Here is a piece of hand lettering I have been experimenting with. "Powered by ADHD" ADHD can be used as a super power once a person learns how their brain works they can use it to their advantage which is what makes us so awesome! I really quite like this chaotic, fun and bright style, I think it depicts ADHD quite well! I may adopt and develop this style further as part of my final creative design practice module... Professional Practice. As part of my Professional practice module I must have a portfolio interview which is worth 60% of this module. Here is the first version I have created. I was given feedback on this today and it seemed all positive and have just been asked to get this printed in large scale for next week. However, I was also advised that I remove the mock up versions and just have the artwork on a spread to allow it to have its full impact and for people to be able to see the detail better. I finally decided to bite the bullet and buy an apple pencil and what can I say apart from why on earth did I not get one sooner! It is an outstanding piece of equipment which has allowed me to digitally illustrate easier, with a hand drawn feel and with no paper waste! At first I was a bit hesitant to buy one as I had a 53 stylus previously used it for about a month then the novelty wore off and I didn't use it much after that. I then impulsively signed up for a contract Ipad pro a couple of years ago when my phone company rang me and bigged it up and made it sound like an amazing deal so my ADHD brain was like "I NEED IT"!! (I already had an ipad mini at the time) so again I used it for a while... the novelty wore off and then it was redundant up until I bought my apple pencil, and now both of them come everywhere with me! The apple pencil... It does what it says on the tin its just like writing with a normal pencil but on a screen. At first it takes a while to get used to as obviously paper is not shiny so it doesn't feel like writing on paper. But due to the hard tip it is much easier than my previous stylus to add details and make my illustrations more accurate. It also enables me to reduce the ammount of notebooks I impulsively buy and dont use as I bought the app "goodnotes" which in app that allows you to create note books and write on them as you would in a paper notebook with the option to print the notebooks out if necessary. This is ideal for me because as I like to have one sketchbook for each project I often end up buying a sketchbook using a quarter of it and then not using it again and buying a new one for the next project. This obviously causes a lot of clutter and paper waste. But thanks too goodnotes and procreate I now create all my sketchbook work on my ipad, make it into a PDF and hand it in either online or print it and hand it in physically in a plastic document wallet. Another good thing about goodnotes and the apple pencil is that particularly for graphic designers it allows them to drop images and analyse things without having to print, stick in and then analyse it like you would if you were using a paper sketchbook. Procreate It is fair to say that this app has been an absolute god send for me! Mainly because due to my issues with perfectionism I am often having to rub things out or bin work and starting again, which again wastes time, paper and makes me frustrated and I will usually just give up with it. But pro create I can simply just click undo and continue to work on it, as well as also having the option to duplicate work so I can try different ideas and develop things further without having to worry that "I only have the one chance" or "this is my only copy". There are a wide variety of brushes available already in pro create but you can also find a lot online too some for free and some you have to pay for. Thanks to pro create I have found my love for digital lettering and im hoping this is something I will continue to develop over the coming years as its been around a month or so since buying my pencil and procreate and the NOVELTY HAS NOT WORN OFF!! WOOO!! Final thing, thee tools and apps I feel are CRUCIAL for those arty ADHDers out there as it allows you to have everything in one place, reduces clutter, minimises frustration when something goes wrong and also allows you to make the most of your ipad. Try and stick to one system! get rid of paper and go digital! Make the most off the apple apps like calendar too then everything really will be in one place and make everything so much easier. BUT MAKE SURE YOU DONT FORGET TO CHARGE IT! All of these apps and the pencil are making my life much easier both within my design work and personal life!! Here is some of the first things I have created using pro create and my apple pencil!

AD6305 DISSERTATION
This module provides you with the opportunity to undertake an in-depth study of a topic or area of cultural, creative practice that is of particular interest to you. Through lecture, group and individual tutorial support you will determine a topic you are motivated to research, develop a research method to address the issues raised, review the existing literature on the topic area, establish a plan for the dissertation, collect information, make judgments and present a reasoned textual argument supporting your position. You will produce an 8,000 word document that complies with accepted academic writing standards in accordance with the APA style guide. AD6207 CREATIVE DESIGN PRACTICE
Component 1: (Wks 10 - 14) COLLECTED WORKS (25% of Module) A collection of works based on your Summer Collection that show playful exploration and experimentation, comprising of: 5 x Weekly Briefs - Reviewed Weekly Submitted Week 14 For the first part of this module (Component 1 - 25%) we will set briefs that will encourage you to play and experiment with areas of design. Alongside this you need to consider your personal development and to define and understand an approach that you may take to resolving a design problem that you will set yourself. Component 2: (Wks 15 - 34) NEGOTIATED PROJECT (50% of Module) You will devise, explore and complete a self directed brief that tackles a design problem. Submitted Week 34 You will be asked to devise a design brief around any subject or issue that you like (Component 2 - 50%) - your proposal can evolve, expand and even change direction as you continue to research, explore and create your solution but it must consider it's audience, method and platform for delivery and any potential elements of collaboration that could benefit it's development. The final deliverable can be in any format which addresses the needs that you will identify for the intended audience for this piece. Component 3: (Wks 35 - 44) EXHIBITION (25% of Module) You will devise, explore and complete an exhibition based on your Negotiated Project output. Submitted Week 44 FInally you will be asked to present your solution as an end of year exhibition piece (Component 3 - 25%) - this may require you to expand on your initial idea, to reformat the resources you have or to reimagine a way of displaying and promoting your final design. During this module we are your colleagues, we are here to advise and support the development of yourself and your ideas – take this opportunity and run with it! Archives
